Fusion 360 and LiteWorld 3D Printing

May 6, 2018 | By Don Musilli | In About Us

The demand for 3D printed objects, prototypes and limited production parts is growing exponentially. We have seen a large increase in the number of individuals who want to have us create models or prototypes of their ideas and concepts. This has led us to use Fusion 360 as one of our base 3D modeling software programs. In the past we relied on students and outside sources to create objects in Solidworks and for our training camps we offer Tinkercad.

Fusion 360 is dynamic and parametric based and thus offers us an opportunity to create machine ready parts for our customers. Further more, these parts are more accurately designed and the 3D printed object has a better finish.

Being part of the Autodesk community, Fusion 360 makes the transition from Tinkercad, Maya, Inventor or Autocad very easy. At LiteWorld we understand the value of training our students and customers in the use of the latest 3D modeling techniques as well as working with your line of LulzBot TAZ 3D printers. These two tools provide anyone with the ability to design and print end use objects as well as limited production parts and to create some very unique designs using the Sculpt mode in Fusion 360.

More importantly, Additive Manufacturing is now becoming the next, true method of making everything. Many companies are using 3D Printers in conjunction with their machining operations and there is a growing wave of new companies creating very unique parts as the amount of new materials being produced just for 3D printers is growing daily.

LiteWorld continues to look for new 3D modeling software and hardware to continue to lead our community in the understanding and use of this technology which is now being called the 4th Industrial Revolution. We offer classes and are a major reseller for the LulzBot line of 3D Printers. In addition,  we offer our own LiteWorld Protective Enclosure for use with any large or small 3D Printer.
