For those new to the world of 3D Printing, we want you to know that the ability to make anything you can think of is now at your disposal. Here are LiteWorld we offer an opportunity for both the novice and the experienced 3D printer to better understand the capabilities of 3D Printers, the various filaments and the software that drives them.
3D Printers operate at high temperatures with the extruder heads running between 200 degress C and 300 degress C and the heated beds at temperatures above 110 degress C. These high temperatures are now necessary to melt some of the newer materials available for 3D Printers and maintain high print bed temperatures to ensure proper adhesion and to minimize warping with some types of filament.
Some filaments like ABS, Polycarbonate and some Nylons are particular to ambient temperatures and printing them in an enclosure if often the best way to minimize or eliminate any warping or layer separation especially for longer, larger prints. In addition, placing an enclosure over the printer significantly reduces the ability for children and adults from putting their hands where they should not be during the printing process.
Our new LiteWorld Protective Enclosure has fast become the standard for schools, libraries and companies who are using FDM type 3D Printers and want to have 360 degree visibility with ease of access to the 3D Printer in the enclosure. The LPE is all plexiglass with two large plexiglass doors and a very sturdy aluminum frame. This is a commercial grade unit that can be assembled in under 45 minutes and includes a fan and carbon filter with media filter inlet to both move air through the unit as well as remove some of the odor and particulate that may be generated by the materials being printed.
In addition, the enclosure can maintain a higher than ambient interior temperature during printing operations eliminating cold air from air vents falling on the printer bed while you are printing ABS or Polycarbonate or other materials that may warp or de-layer during printing.
